Mr. James Hazuka is an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.  Over the past seven years, Mr. Hazuka has lead all Booz Allen Hamilton support to the NORAD and USNORTHCOM J6 (Command Control Systems).  This timeframe included the standup of USNORTHCOM in 2002, the transition of the command through Final Operational Capability (FOC), and numerous national special security events (i.e., Presidential Inauguration) and crisis operations (i.e., Hurricanes Katrina/Rita).  Booz Allen Hamilton provides the J6 with consulting services in a number of areas to include information sharing, training, transformational communications, net centric concepts, cross domain solutions, national leadership communications, operational/campaign plans, knowledge management, process improvement, computer network defense, and cyber strategies, policies, concepts and procedures.  Within the past several years, there have been significant efforts within the Department of the Defense on how it understands, organizes, integrates and executes cyberspace operations.  Booz Allen Hamilton has provide assistance to the J6 as it works through how to best operate in this new warfighting domain in support of its homeland defense and civil support missions.  Mr. Hazuka is a member of Booz Allen Hamilton focus groups on cyber, gaining insight into cyber security approaches being implemented within the Firm to better serve its customer base.  He also contributes in formulating new approaches that seek to improve support across homeland security and defense organizations.  Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Hazuka spent nearly 24 years in Air Force Communications.  Primary focus area was operations and maintenance of communications and computer systems at base level through support of major commands.  Mr. Hazuka retired in 2002 with the rank of Colonel (0-6).
