Donald E. Addy President, National Homeland Defense Foundation
Mr. Addy is President and Board member of The National Homeland Defense Foundation. NHDF annually conducts the nation’s leading public forum on homeland defense/homeland security matters. NHDF also supports soldiers and their families by providing temporary financial relief to hardship cases, and by sponsoring assistance programs for military spouses. His business career spans 40 years in general management and senior executive positions in the food industry, sporting optics, fishing tackle, and as a partner in Caswell International Corporation, Minneapolis, MN. Caswell was a leading supplier of firearms training equipment for the US Department of Defense, and law enforcement agencies around the world. Mr. Addy and his partners sold Caswell in 2003. Most recently, Mr. Addy co-founded The Citizen Soldier Connection, a non-profit organization devoted to supporting soldiers and their families. He serves the organization as a board member and former President. In 2006, he was named the first Honorary Member of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, which recently returned to Ft. Carson from a 15-month deployment to Iraq. Mr. Addy serves on the Board of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, The Colorado Springs School, and as Chairman of the Hospitality Sales Committee for the 2008 US Senior Men’s Open Golf Championship. Mr. Addy and his wife, Susan, have 3 daughters and live in Colorado Springs, CO.
