Homeland Security Coordinator, Colorado South Central All-Hazards Region


As the Homeland Security Coordinator for the South Central All-Hazards Region, Erin is responsible for the State Homeland Security Grant Program management and capabilities-based planning efforts for the six jurisdictions that comprise Colorado’s South Central All-Hazards Region (City of Colorado Springs, El Paso, Teller, Park, Lake and Chaffee counties). In this position, Erin works as a liaison between the local communities and the State of Colorado’s Office of Homeland Security. Additionally, at the local level, Erin coordinates and facilitates several regional programs to include: incident management and homeland security training; emergency response exercises; regional risk assessment; citizen preparedness; and interoperable communications. In addition to her duties in Homeland Security, Erin is a current Board Member on the Fourth Judicial District Victim Assistance & Law Enforcement (VALE) Board.

Prior to her position as the South Central Region Homeland Security Coordinator, Erin worked for eight years as the Associate Program Director for the Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (DVERT) of the Colorado Springs Police Department. DVERT is a nationally recognized multi-agency collaborative entity consisting of over 30 partner agencies, nine of which provide full-time staff directly to the collaboration. In her position, Erin supervised a multi-disciplinary staff from eleven different agencies.

Erin received her Bachelor's of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado and has nearly completed her Graduate Certificate in Homeland Defense from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Center for Homeland Security.

Erin resides in Monument, Colorado with her husband, Dennis, and her two small children, Madison and Maxwell.
