As Owner and CEO of Homeland Security Careers, Kimberly has dedicated her career to coaching, training, and assisting military members and their families in transition. Kimberly served 19 years as a TAP Facilitator holding the distinction of longest serving TAP Facilitator worldwide. She recently retired from the TAP program to focus fulltime on her business. Kimberly’s business is dedicated to networking military members and their family members into private industry careers. She is a motivational speaker and certified Job and Career Transition Coach serving the military community for 25 years. Kimberly has designed the Moving Ahead with Purpose Career Transition Process for military members. The MAP process is a three step process with a Career Development Organizer, Moving Ahead with Purpose (MAP) Seminar and a MAP Strategic Career Transition Plan.
During her 19 years of public speaking Kimberly amassed 8,000 hours of facilitation all focused on career transition. She received her TAP certification from the National Veterans Training Institute at the University of Colorado’s National Learning Center and has facilitated over 7,000 hours with TAP at all of the installations in Colorado Springs. She was selected by the institute to be the primary facilitator for their latest career transition training video.
Kimberly is a member of the Military Spouse Career Committee (MSCC) hosted by the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. Kimberly worked with the MSCC to research, develop and implement the award winning Career Tracks Seminar. She has facilitated the Career Tracks Seminar for 3 years. This award winning seminar empowers military spouses to learn and embrace creative networking skills to pursue a successful mobile career. The Career Tracks seminar received a best practice award from the United States Air Force - April, 2009.
Kimberly developed the Moving Ahead with Purpose (MAP) Seminar to further assist those in career transition to network and integrate in their new communities as they transition from serving our country to serving their new community. She recently was a featured speaker at the Air Force Worldwide Career Transition Conference showcasing her unique networking process.
True to her belief that everyone should be an active part of their community she serves as a featured speaker as well as assists in the coordination of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Military Family Career Fair.

Homeland Security Careers is a unique organization providing group career coaching, education, and networking events for civilians and transitioning military interested in the Homeland Defense and Homeland Security Industry. You can witness the magic in events such as the weekly Career Planning Hubs, and monthly Military2Business (Mil²Biz) networking events; these venues provide networking opportunities for military members and their spouses to connect to local educational, volunteer and employment opportunities. Kimberly launched the inaugural HS/HD Career Summit in October of 2008. The HS/HD Career Summit was strategically held alongside the National HD/HS Symposium VI, and is continuing to be a collaborative effort between the National Homeland Defense Foundation and Homeland Security Careers®. This event allows participants to capitalize on the tremendous wealth of opportunities for professional development, networking and career planning.
Together with her strategic partners she hosts The National Homeland Security Careers Conference to identify, attract and sustain a professional, highly educated, innovative and experienced workforce to meet the critical demands of homeland security and defense.
